The next race of the Formula 1® season is the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix, which is taking place this weekend.

Here is everything you need to know, including the start time and race info.

When is the Canadian Grand Prix?

Round 9 of the 2022 Formula 1® season takes place on Sunday, 19 June at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

Practice begins locally on Friday, 17 June with Practice 1 and Practice 2, followed by Practice 3 and Qualifying on Saturday, 18 June.


What time does the Canadian Grand Prix start?

The Formula 1® Canadian Grand Prix 2022 starts at 2:00 pm local time on Sunday, 19 June, which is 4:00 am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Monday, 20 June.

The AEST for each session in Canada is as follows:

Formula 1®
  • Practice 1: Saturday 04:00 - 05:00
  • Practice 2: Saturday 07:00 - 08:00

  • Practice 3: Sunday 03:00 - 04:00
  • Qualifying: Sunday 06:00 - 07:00
