Top reasons to visit Albert Park in 2024

With our tickets going on sale to the general public on Tuesday 29^th of August, we thought we’d highlight just some of the reasons to get excited about Melbourne’s biggest motorsport event in 2024.

Potentially two Aussies on the grid

For the first time since 2013, we could see two Aussies lining up on a Formula 1® grid at Albert Park!

Oscar Piastri has established himself as a future star at McLaren and a rejuvenated Daniel Ricciardo has wound back the clock with Alpha Tauri in 2023.

With two drivers on the grid, 2024 could also be the year we finally see an Australian on the Albert Park podium.

Formula 2® and Formula 3® graced our circuit for the first time in 2023 and the racing provided spectacular action throughout the entire weekend.

With Jack Doohan taking two F2® feature race victories in a row, could the son of an Australian motorsport legend be on track to win his home Grand Prix™ in Melbourne?

Australian drivers Christian Mansell, Hugh Barter and Tommy Smith are all currently competing in F3® and we will hopefully see the trio return in 2024.

More racing categories are to be announced in the coming months.

Off-track entertainment

Every Australian Grand Prix™ is bursting with plenty of off-track entertainment throughout the entire park.

Formula 1® in Melbourne has evolved into a festival-like atmosphere with a feast of activities to keep you busy on and off the track.

From the popular Melbourne Walk to seeing the drivers on the Fan Forum Stage, you can also explore our support category paddocks, our Family Zone, the Tech Hub, Legends Lane, and heaps more.

Track viewing

Albert Park arguably has some of the best General Admission viewing experiences on the entire Formula 1® calendar.

You’d be hard-pressed to name another circuit where you can get so close to the cars and wander to pretty much any viewing location around the perimeter of the circuit.

Don’t be afraid to get your steps up and sample a variety of vantage points.
