Optus will give motorsport fanatics the chance to get ‘behind the wheel’ of a Formula 1® car in an adrenaline-fuelled virtual reality, as the OPTU5G VR Track Tour returns to the FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2023.
Using a VR headset, racegoers will have the opportunity to virtually live out their F1® dreams as they take pole position on the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit. While they accelerate down the straight at blistering speeds, fans will also be offered words of encouragement by Optus Chief of Optimism and Ambassador Daniel Ricciardo along the way.
Immersed into a 360° tour of the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit with Ricciardo, the high-definition 5G-enabled encounter will transport fans above the track and provide a unique opportunity to experience a birds-eye view of Albert Park.
Located in Fan Zone, the OPTU5G VR Track Tour is available to all ticketholders, including Hospitality, Grandstand and Park Passes across the four-day event.
“We’re excited to team up with Optus once again in 2023 to provide fans with an exhilarating virtual reality experience that will get them as close to driving an F1® car as possible, with none other than Daniel Ricciardo cheering them on,” said Australian Grand Prix Corporation General Manager of Sales and Commercial, Darian Misko
“We’ve expanded on the success of the 2022 VR experience to make this ride even better, with fans to be taken sky high. They’ll be able to soak in the entirety of Albert Park while driving at extreme speeds, making for an unforgettable event.”
Don’t miss the action, Park Pass (GA) tickets are still available.
