Christian Mansell - Formula 2®
Christian Mansell, hailing from New South Wales, was one of the breakout stars of last year’s F3® season. With five podiums and a fifth-place finish in the overall standings, Mansell impressed many with his speed.
After a strong rookie campaign in 2023, Mansell really came into his own in 2024, establishing himself as a regular frontrunner. His ability to perform in qualifying, manage tyres efficiently, and execute overtakes set him apart from many of his competitors.
Mansell's solid performances earned him a call-up to Formula 2® for the final three rounds of 2024, where he continued to impress, scoring ten points.
In 2025, Mansell will race with Rodin Motorsport in F2®, and it will be exciting to see whether he can continue to build momentum and develop as a driver at this higher level.
“I am thrilled to be returning to Rodin Motorsport for the 2025 season,” Mansell said. “The team has always been incredibly supportive, and I’m excited to build on our past successes together. I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and am determined to give my best on the track.”
James Wharton - Formula 3®
In 2025, Australia will see a new talent join the ranks of Formula 3®, with James Wharton making his full-time debut. The Victorian had a brief appearance last year, filling in for a round at Silverstone, but now he’s set to take on the full season and prove his potential.
Wharton will race with ART Grand Prix, joining a talented roster that includes Laurens van Hoepen and former Ferrari Driver Academy member Tuukka Taponen.
The Aussie recently finished second overall in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.
Wharton expressed his excitement about the opportunity: "This is undoubtedly the most significant step in my racing career so far. I deeply appreciate the trust they’ve placed in me and my potential, and I’m ready to make the most of this opportunity.”
With the fierce competition in F3®, Australian motorsport enthusiasts will be watching Wharton, who is looking to make his mark in what promises to be an intense season.
