Jakara Anthony joins the Formula 1® Heineken® Australian Grand Prix 2022 ambassador team

The Olympic gold medallist is ready to jump from one extreme sport to the next.
The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is excited to announce Olympic gold medallist and record-breaking mogul skier Jakara Anthony as an ambassador of the Formula 1® Heineken® Australian Grand Prix 2022.
Returning to Melbourne following a sensational Crystal Globe World Cup title win, Jakara is ready to jump from one extreme sport to the next in promoting the return of Formula 1® to the Albert Park Grand Prix™ Circuit.
Since winning Australia’s only gold medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics, Jakara has continued to dominate the sport and holds the record for Australia’s most successful winter sports athlete in a single season.
Growing up in Barwon Heads, Jakara understands the importance of celebrating Victoria’s regions, a focus for this year’s April event. Five precincts, each named after a different region, will house music, food and entertainment from around the state, celebrating their unique offerings and promoting tourism.
Jakara Anthony expressed excitement in the return on Formula 1® to Melbourne.
"I am really excited to be back in Melbourne and celebrating the return of Formula 1 as an ambassador this year," she said.
"The buzz and energy that Formula 1 brings to Melbourne is really incredible. I cannot wait to see how the teams and drivers handle the new track, as well as all the entertainment around the circuit, it really is sure to be an incredible four days!"
The Formula 1® Heineken® Australian Grand Prix 2022 is set to make its triumphant return to Albert Park on Thursday, 7 April.
