It’s been announced that Jack Doohan will be remaining with Virtuosi Racing for 2023 in Formula 2™.
After a successful rookie season, Doohan will be hoping to make a further step and challenge for the coveted title.
The Australian took three victories, two pole positions and six podiums on his way to a sixth-place finish in the 2022 drivers’ standings.
‘Rookie of the Year’ was a real possibility for the Queenslander until the final round in Abu Dhabi when Doohan retired from the race through no fault of his own.
“I’m thrilled to be continuing with Virtuosi Racing for my second year in Formula 2,” Doohan said after his re-signing.
“After a strong first season together, I couldn’t be happier to be going into 2023 with the same great team around me. I can’t wait to get redemption from this season.”
Doohan also recently cut some laps in Alpine’s F1™ car at the Abu Dhabi test back in November to further gain experience and push his case for a future drive.
