In 2022, Liam Lawson finished second in Formula 2 and has been a reserve driver for Red Bull since. In 2024, he's an F1® driver for RB, replacing Daniel Ricciardo after the Singapore Grand Prix.
Lawson made his first appearance on the grid at the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix. Red Bull's reserve driver replaced Daniel Ricciardo at AlphaTauri from qualifying after the Australian broke his hand during the second free practice and was unable to drive. Lawson qualified last and drove a good race on Sunday, reaching P13 despite challenging conditions.
Lawson has also driven the Italian, Singapore, Japanese, and Qatar Grand Prix', managing to take two points for the team.
