Albon’s impact statistically last year was muted relative to his impressive 2023 season – he scored 12 of the team’s 17 points – but his influence behind the scenes has been a big part of a marriage that’s entering its fourth season, and one that will endure after inking a multi-year extension last June, indicating at the time that he’d “rather sacrifice 2025 for 2026”.
Part of Albon’s rebuild after being bossed by Max Verstappen at Red Bull has been dominating whoever Williams has placed alongside him; with Carlos Sainz’s arrival, we’ll soon get an idea as to how Albon has evolved since his career looked all-but over after 2020.
