This Brabham is chassis no.8, and is the second of three BT30's run by Irish Racing Cars between 1969 and 1971.
Tommy Reid debuted this car in the Churchmans Trophy at Phoenix Park.
In October 1969 Reid competed in his first and only Formula 2 race, the Gran Premio di Roma at Vallelunga.
In 1971 Reid won the Ulster Trophy Championship, the 500 Motor Racing Club of Ireland Libre Championship and the Scottish Libre Championship.
Sean Whelan acquired the car in May 2012 and a comprehensive restoration was undertaken which included bringing the car back to its original livery, debuting at Sandown in November 2014.
Over the last 10 years the car has competed successfully at many historic events.
