This car was the 13th McLaren built and was sent straight to South Africa for David Prophet.
It won the 1967 South African Sports Car Championship with Bob Olthoff and also held the South African Land Speed record for a short time that same year.
The car went back to England in the early 1980's for a restoration, where it was bought by Max Warwick and delivered to Australia in 1985.
It has been campaigned in Historic group M racing for almost 40 years here.
