McLaren chassis #30/05 was delivered to Carl Haas who at the time was McLaren's American agent.
The first owner was Bud Morley of Denver Colorado. Morley ran the McLaren extensively in Can-Am and USRRC Sports Car events.
During this this period it raced against notable drivers including McLaren, Surtees, Andretti and Revson.
Following a long period in storage the car underwent a complete restoration prior to being on-sold to Paul Goodman in 2004.
Goodman raced it for two seasons in USA historic events before the car was acquired by John Bladon in the UK.
Current owner Laurie Bennett purchased the McLaren in 2010.
For the following eight years the car was predominately based in England where Laurie had the enjoyment of racing it on many of the iconic English and European circuits such as Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Goodwood, Spa Francorchamps, Nurburgring, Monza and more lately in Australia at Albert Park, Phillip Island and Sandown.
