The 100-4 Healey was the archetypal British sports car.
They were designed under the criteria set by Donald Healey to be a very fast everyday road car with genuine sporting characteristics.
They were seen by many at the time to set the new benchmark in road going sports cars.
The 100/4 Healey was capable of 100 mph, (hence the name) and were commonly raced in the 50s and 60s with great success.
This BN2 was built as left-hand drive for the American market and imported into Australia in the late 1990s by Healey expert Steve Pike who carried out its restoration.
During these works, slight modifications were made including increased compression ratio, larger carburettors, re-profiled camshaft, modified exhaust system and lightened flywheel.
