The future is here - Box Hill Institute is showcasing the state of the art Toyota Prius Hybrid engine and CVT (Constant Velocity Transmission).
As the Hybrid pulls away from rest on battery electric power it is eventually taken over by the Hybrid system once at speed.Visiting students will be able to experience first hand the workings of the Electric Vehicle engine as they watch our teachers turn it over manually via the hands on crank shaft technology.
Also on display will be the high tech and hands on revolutionary "Flaim Extinguisher."
Behind the latest Virtual Reality goggles, students can experience real world smoke and fire scenarios, without the real world dangers.
Racing drivers need super quick reactions from the start of the race, to every change of direction, gear change and minor adjustment to the car during the race, plus strength to hold the car straight and corner at amazing speeds. The ‘My Inspiration Never Dies’ showcase at the Chisholm Institute marquee will be providing interactive demonstrations of reaction, cognition and grip strength through some innovative and engaging technologies.
Meet and interact with their talking robot and play a game to see what it’s like to be a part of a cyber security team! Some amazing gum leaf shortbread will be on offer to showcase local ingredients baked by Chisholm students and you will be able to have a chat with Chisholm Institute representatives about the courses on offer.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is proud to attend the FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2024.
FRV is a modern fire and rescue service that protects communities across Melbourne and Victoria’s major regional centres. Our people are highly trained and ready to respond to emergencies across the state, Australia, and the world.
Visitors to the Grand Prix™ can meet our firefighters, view a fire truck up close and learn about fire safety. Visitors will also be able to explore a state-of-the-art appliance – a brand new Pumper Platform, holding 1,500 litres of water, which is used for patient rescue and aerial firefighting.
Our firefighters will be on hand to share important information and promote fire safety in the home. Topics will include smoke alarms, fire escape plans, lithium-ion batteries, barbeque, and kitchen safety.
Holmesglen Institute collaborated with Spark North East Link Design and Construct Joint Venture to provide innovative and purposeful learning experiences for North-East Link tunnel workers. Isonomic, a technology driven simulation training developer, was brought in to bring this vision to life.
Using mixed-reality technology, professionals receive enhanced training in tunnel construction, tunnelling plan application and CPR scenarios.
The HoloLens projects holograms that present workers with various real-world scenarios – crucial for work on the North-East Link project.
Training situations include, performing CPR on a virtual patient having a heart attack and the operation of tunnelling equipment, such as Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM), roadheaders and long drills.

Reground are a local social enterprise with a mission to build waste-free communities, empowering and educating people to view waste as a resource.
Through Reground’s circular coffee collection, we have saved 1.5 million kilos of coffee from landfill, donating to local community gardens and home growers: that’s equivalent to the amount of lattes 100 people would drink in their entire lifetimes!
Reground is also leading the way in waste and recycling education and system change through work with local and state governments, apartment buildings, businesses, schools and events.

Visitors will be able to interact with a MOTUM Race simulator, incorporating the most immersive six degrees of freedom motion profile, and the NOVA 360degree simulator, which allows for 360-degree movement including flips and spins, and is only one of two such simulators in Australia.
Other interactive showcases include the “Looking Glass” holographic display, which generates a true three dimensional experience, without the need for headsets. Joining our showcase will be RMIT Motorsport, with their student-designed and built electric racing vehicle on display. Come visit us!

Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic) will proudly play a key sustainability role in this year’s FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX.
CDS Vic is statewide recycling program, that launched on 1 November, 2023. It provides a 10-cent refund for eligible drink containers to reduce litter, increase recycling and ultimately build Victoria’s circular economy.
Visitors to the Grand Prix™ will be able to recycle their “on-the-go” drink containers via dedicated CDS Vic bins, test their recycling knowledge in interactive sorting rallies, and learn about all different ways to raise funds through the scheme.
Victors will also be able to explore state-of-the-art recycling equipment – a new generation of reverse vending machines - designed to identify and compact drink containers.
Recycling innovation expert & CDS Vic East Zone Operator Return-It will be on hand to demonstrate the technology and take visitors on a container journey, from recycled material to new product.

We are the control agency for flood, storm, tsunami, earthquake, and landslide throughout Victoria, and provide the largest road crash rescue network in Australia, with over 1,500 accredited road crash rescue operators across the state.
